Spring Quarter—CSSCR Services

Dear All:

The start of Spring Quarter 2020 is upon us in a very different format! With the important social distancing measures in place, CSSCR is operating nearly fully on-line. This note simply points to key services in operation and how to access them, as well as some service closures.

Drop-in consulting services are fully on line and to access simply send a note to CSSCR@uw.edu briefly stating your problem and whether you had previously worked with a consultant. We will then route the appropriate consultant to you. Hours for Spring will be our typical M-Th 8am-9pm and F until 5pm. (Closed weekends and holidays.) How this service will be accessed may change during the quarter but we will remain on-line for the duration.

We will be offering some of our typical workshops during Spring. These may be videos, as well as synchronous sessions. Our Spring CSSCR newsletter will detail these; should be out by end of the week.

Data services will be on-line and accessed simply by sending a note to CSSCR@uw.edu.

Closures include the drop-in computer lab–at least through April 24. We will revisit this closure as the mandatory stay in place order is reviewed. The classroom labs are all closed and will remain so throughout the quarter. Likewise the main office is closed and staff are working remotely as much as is possible. If you have questions or need to communicate with key staff please send a note to CSSCR@uw.edu during our business hours M-F 8am-5pm.

Partial closure of our data clean room. If you need access please contact CSSCR@uw.edu. We hope to offer by appointment, but limited access in time and days available. This may change after April 24.

Finally, any questions can be directed to CSSCR@uw.edu. Our experience with the last two weeks of Winter suggests we can maintain a consistent, and relatively timely, high level of service.

Our best wishes… and stay healthy!

Jerry
