Join your First Hill neighbors for our third annual Brain Health Block Party. From 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Wednesday June 25, enjoy exploring the neighborhood, stopping at activity stations listed below for fun brain-healthy activities such as music, puzzles, creative arts, movement and more. Healthy snacks included!  A fun and free event for all ages, with a special invitation to folks age 50+. 

Event maps available at each activity station. Start at any participating location and get your event map stamped as you go. Visit at least three activity stations for a chance to be entered into a prize drawing! The route between all 10 stations is about 2 miles.

Activity Station Locations

  • The Memory Hub (1021 Columbia St): Building entrance 

    • Activity: Giant Crossword Puzzles, Maude's Garden Iced Tea Blend, Karaoke, Postcards, Dancing with Dora (1:30-2)

  • Frye Art Museum (704 Terry Ave): West side of building along Terry Ave

    • Activity: Museum-Inspired Art Activity

  • Horizon House (900 University St): Side entrance on Terry Ave

    • Activity: Drum Circle, Community Art Project, Popcorn, Hydration station

  • Murano Senior Living (620 Terry Ave): Building entrance

    • Activity: Bridges Bistro with Ethan Stowell: Brain-Healthy Bites and Beverages served by Bridges and Alder residents

  • Swedish First Hill (747 Broadway Ave): Building entrance

    • Activity: Brain-healthy nutrition tips; Swag

  • Skyline Seattle (715 9th Ave): Terraces building entrance

    • Activity: Chair Aerobics (1st hour), Music with Carmen, Brain Health Trivia and Activity Wheel, Make-Your-Own Trail Mix

  • St. James Cathedral (804 Ninth Ave): SW corner of Marion St and Terry Ave

    • Activity: Easy Mindfulness and Yoga, Cathedral Music, Cathedral Coloring Book, Garden tours, Popcorn, Oranges, Hydration Station

  • Tate Mason House (1100 Minor Ave): North of building entrance

    • Activity: Brain-healthy yogurt/granola/fruit parfaits

  • Truewood by Merrill, First Hill (1421 Minor Ave): Front entrance on Minor Ave

    • Activity: Human Slot Machine, Memory-Friendly Smoothies, Elvis Impersonator

  • Virginia Mason Franciscan Health (1201 Terry Ave): Lindeman Pavilion Terrace 

    • Activity: Cognitive Obstacle Course, yoga (1:30-2)
