Wood Megan Ming Francis Teaching Awards Five University of Washington professors are winners of the University of Washington Distinguished Teaching Award for 2018. They are Alexes Harris, Presidential Term Professor of Sociology, Megan Ming Francis, associate professor of political science, Chelsea L. Wood, assistant professor of aquatic and fishery sciences, Frances McCue, senior lecturer in English, and Ekin Yaşin, senior lecturer in communication. Frances McCue Two graduate students with teaching responsibilities receive the Excellence in Teaching Award for 2017. They are Sarah Faulkner, graduate student in English, and Eldridge Alcantara, graduate student in electrical engineering. The recipient of the Marsha L. Landolt Distinguished Graduate Mentor Award is Suzie Hwang Pun, Robert F. Rushmer Professor of Bioengineering. Sarah Faulkner Suzie Hwang Pun Eldridge Alcantara Quintard Taylor Quintard Taylor, Scott and Dorothy Bullitt Professor of American History, is the winner of the University Faculty Lecture Award, which honors current or emeriti faculty whose research, scholarship or art has been widely recognized by their peers and whose achievements have had a substantial impact on their profession, on the research or performance of others and perhaps on society as a whole.
