Economizer Autumn 2013

Hello everyone! As the quarter is winding down, we want to share with you the Autumn 2013 edition of the Economizer, the EUB’s newsletter on economics topics, written by our very own members. This edition includes interviews from faculty and students in the department, a discussion of the importance of econometrics, information about internships that econ students have participated in, and an analysis of the economic history of Washington State.

The Economizer can be read online at the link below, or physical copies can be found in the department office (SAV 305) and the EUB office (SAV 328).

Additionally, the last day of this quarter’s EUB and ELL tutoring will be this Friday, December 6th. We will not be holding tutoring during finals week.

We will be back next quarter with more events and a new tutoring schedule. The EUB wishes you good luck on finals, and a great winter break!

The Economizer: Spring 2013

In this issue, we interview alumni working in the economic consulting industry, discuss a recent speech by Arts & Sciences Dean Robert Stacey, review European fiscal austerity, and talk about some of our Honors theses!
