KEXP Internship – Morning Show Producer Volunteer Internship

KEXP Internships

KEXP offers internships in all areas of radio broadcasting. Interns will gain real world experience in a broad array of fields including music programming, production, online, marketing, development, business support and administration. KEXP interns will learn skills in business communication, project management, problem solving, audio technology, database management and more. These skills and experiences offer our interns a unique ground-level glimpse of the day-to-day life of a community radio station, while offering relationship building and networking opportunities that will aid in securing future employment in the music industry. All internships are unpaid.

QUALIFICATIONS – WHAT WE LOOK FOR
KEXP internships are highly competitive. In general, we look for individuals who are motivated, independent workers, team players, organized, efficient, excellent communicators, comfortable on Microsoft Office applications and most importantly have a fanatical love of music, and knowledge of KEXP and our mission in the community. Availability of 10-20 hours per week, during regular business hours (9am-6pm, Monday-Friday) is a requirement for all new interns.

Morning Show Producer Volunteer Internship
This internship works with the Morning Show Producer to provide programming content support exclusively for The Morning Show in real time. The intern will be involved in the preparation of the show while assisting with the maintenance and creation of programming content throughout the duration of The Morning Show.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
If you are unable to make the weekly commitment of an internship, we also have many volunteer opportunities including helping out at fundraising drives, tabling at events, and mailing out thank you gifts to listeners. Click here to register to volunteer.

Seattle MESA is recruiting UW students for their tutoring program.

If you are a dynamic student that has a passion for STEM subjects and a desire to help a high school student in his/her Math and/or Science classes, this program is for you.  If you are interested in providing STEM focused tutoring to a high school student please contact Joffrey Hooks at mtutoruw@uw.edu or (206) 685-7907.
