Mary Gates Endowment for Students

The Mary Gates Endowment for Students is currently accepting scholarship applications.  Mary Gates scholarships provide up to $4,000 ($2,000 per quarter for up to two quarters) for students to pursue leadership or research/scholarly activities.  These scholarships benefit students in the current academic year, and are open to all UW undergraduate students regardless of campus, class year, academic major or residency status.

Join us for an upcoming application writing workshop!  These workshops provide students with the opportunity to both give and receive feedback on their scholarship essays.  All students are invited to attend.  Please bring a draft of your essay to share.

ULeadWeLead 2

Registration is live for U Lead We Lead 2015! Join us for the Husky Leadership Initiative’s signature event to kick off the school year. It is a cross-campus collaboration of faculty, staff and students that uses the art of storytelling to motivate leaders of today and tomorrow.

At U Lead We Lead, faculty, staff, and students build conversation in small groups that encourage active participation and sharing. No lectures about leadership here; this event is all about stories, experiences, and learning from one another.
