UW Hosts 2026 Spring Board Meeting

On May 28, 2026, PacTrans convened an in-person Board of Directors meeting on the University of Washington campus in Seattle, Washington. We regularly host board meetings in order to discuss new developments, evaluate our processes, brainstorm new opportunities, and give updates on current activities.

“From Data to Solution: Integrating Performance Evaluation into Traffic Signal Timing and System Management” Seminar

Last week, UW was pleased to welcome Aobo “Albert” Wang, Assistant Professor at Oregon State University, to present a Transportation Research Seminar titled, “From Data to Solution: Integrating Performance Evaluation into Traffic Signal Timing and System Management.” Prof. Wang shared valuable insights on how data-driven performance evaluation can improve traffic signal timing, multimodal operations, and system-level management. His presentation highlighted practical applications using high-resolution trajectory and controller data to support more effective and integrated transportation solutions. Thank you to Prof. Wang for an engaging seminar and to everyone who attended and contributed to the discussion!

Region 10 Conference 2026: Call for Presentations and Posters Now Open!
The PacTrans Region 10 Transportation Conference: Call for Presentations and Posters is now open! The conference will be held on October 9, 2026 in Anchorage, Alaska under the theme: Transportation Systems Empowered by Innovation: Safe, Adaptive, and Connected. The three theme tracks are:
- Transportation Systems, Safety, and Operations
- Infrastructure Performance, Resilience, and Technology
- Mobility, Accessibility, and Workforce Development
The conference will showcase research, applications, case studies, and innovative practices related to transportation systems and infrastructure across the Pacific Northwest and beyond. We are currently accepting submissions under the following two calls:
