The Application Process

We are accepting applications for the 2013 – 2014 academic year. We will be selecting three fellows who will work across three sites (Harborview Medical Center, University of Washington Medical Center, and the VA Puget Sound).  Fellowship interviews and offers will be made on a rolling basis until we have filled our three positions.  Offers may be made at any time; in accordance with the Academy of Psychosomatic Medicine, a response to an offer is not required before December 1st (but may happen before then).

You must meet the following requirements to be eligible for our fellowship:

• Complete an ACGME accredited adult psychiatry residency
• Foreign medical graduates must have a valid ECFMG certificate
• Be eligible for an unrestricted Washington medical license

If you are interested in applying, please provide the following:

• CV
• Letter of interest / personal statement (no more than one page long)
• A letter from your residency’s Program Director documenting satisfactory performance in and/or completion of an ACGME accredited general psychiatry residency
• Three or more letters of reference supporting your application (the letter from your Program Director can serve as a letter of reference if written as a letter of reference).
• UW Psychosomatic Medicine (PGY-5) Application

After we receive your completed application, it will be reviewed by the fellowship director and associate director.  We will then follow up with you about next steps.
