“The State in the Service of the Poor: The Politics, Past and Present of Social Protection in Egypt” Dr. Sholkamy is an associate professor at Yale, and looks at the intersection between the state and civil society as it manages poverty.
The talk will be followed by a question / answer session and discussion with Dr. Skolkamy.
