Cassandra Padilla

Cassandra graduated from the University of California, Davis in 2023 with a BS in environmental chemistry. While there, she researched thermal degradation and oxidation products of cannabinoids by GC-MS and HPLC-HRMS. Pfizer funded this work through an academic-industrial relations (AIR)  fellowship. The UC Davis chemistry department later recognized her as an outstanding graduate. After graduation, she started her PhD in analytical chemistry at the University of Washington under Dr. Synovec. In her first year, she received an Honorable Mention award from the NSF GRFP. In her free time, she enjoys sewing, knitting, being with her cats, and playing New York Times games with her husband.
