Lindsay Legg is the Research Referral Nurse at the Center for AIDS Research (CFAR) Translational Research Subcore (TRS). CFAR/TRS is located at Harborview Medical Center in Seattle Washington, one of the leading trauma centers on the West Coast. Harborview prides itself in serving any person in the community regardless of any status. Since 2011 she has worked recruiting and screening potential participants for HIV and Infectious Disease related studies locally and nationwide to help us learn more about HIV/AIDS.
She helps investigators and researchers oftentimes create a study from start to finish with such duties like assisting with writing protocols and Case Report Forms (CRF’s), helping with IRB approvals, Identifying, screening, and enrolling participants, phlebotomy, IV placement, physical assessments, conducting study visits, and collecting and shipping specimens from participants. Lindsay feels like she is making a difference and gets to have fun while doing it. She also loves to draw, tending to her numerous house plants, and enjoys walks and paddleboarding with her dog.
