CSSCR hosts Washington State 2010 census data files and related materials on our website, data are provided in SPSS, SAS & STATA format. 2010 census data can be also accessed via the Census Bureau’s Explore Census Data website DATA.CENSUS.GOV, and the Uexplore/Dexter Web Software on the Missouri Census Data Center website.

Census 2010 Redistricting Data [Public Law 94-171]

The 2010 Census (P.L. 94-171) Redistricting Data Summary Files were posted, by state, from February 3rd through March 24th of 2011. These summary file tables contain tabulations for both the total population and the population over age 18 years old by race and ethnicity (Hispanic or Latino origin and housing units by occupancy status (occupied and vacant units)

The files published here are from the 2010 Census Redistricting Data for both WA state and nation in several statistical software formats. Please check the Summary Level Hierarchy Chart for geographies included in the WA state and national files.

Summary File 1 (SF1) for WA

Summary File 1 (SF 1) contains the 100-percent data, which is the data compiled from the questions asked of all people and about every housing unit. Population items include sex, age, race, Hispanic or Latino origin, household relationship, household type, household size, family type, family size, and group quarters. Housing items include occupancy status, vacancy status, and tenure (whether a housing unit is owner-occupied or renter-occupied).

There are 177 population tables (identified with a “P”) and 58 housing tables (identified with an ‘‘H’’) shown down to the block level; 82 population tables (identified with a ‘‘PCT’’) and 4 housing tables (identified with an “HCT”) shown down to the census tract level; and 10 population tables (identified with a “PCO”) shown down to the county level, for a total of 331 tables.
