1990 Summary Tape File 1 (STF 1) for WA
1990 Summary Tape File 1 contains 100-percent data. Data are presented in 37 population tables (matrices) and 63 housing tables (matrices). STF1 is released as file 1A, file 1B, file 1C, and file 1D. The record layout is identical for all four files but the geographic coverage differs. Check Summary Level Sequence Charts for more details on geographic sequence.
1990 STF 1A provides data for states and their sub areas in hierarchical sequence down to the block group level. 1990 STF 1B provides data for states and their sub areas in hierarchical sequence down to the block level. 1990 STF 1C provides data for the entire United States. The geographic hierarchical sequence down to the counties, places of 10,000 or more persons. 1990 STF 1D is the first STF released that provides data by state for the Congressional Districts of the 103rd Congress.
1990 Summary Tape File 2 (STF 2) for WA
Summary Tape File 2 contains 100-percent data for more detailed race and Hispanic/Latino categories, and American Indian and Alaska Native tribes. There are both A and B records. A records have a table number beginning with PA or HA. B records have a table number beginning with PB or HB.
STF2 is released in three files-2A, 2B, and 2C. The record layout is identical for all three files but the geographic coverage differs.
1990 STF 2A provides data for each state in hierarchical sequence down to census tract/block numbering areas. 1990 STF 2B provides data for each state in hierarchical sequence down to county subdivisions with 1,000 or more persons, and places with 1,000 or more persons. 1990 STF 2C provides data for the entire United States in hierarchical sequence down to the counties and places of 10,000 or more persons.
1990 Summary Tape File 3 (STF 3) for WA
Summary Tape File 3 contains sample data weighted to represent the total population. Data are presented in 178 population tables (matrices) and 99 housing tables 99 (matrices). It provides much more social, economic and housing information than STF1 does. STF3 is released as file 3A, file 3B, file 3C, and file 3D. The record layout is identical for all four files but the geographic coverage differs.
1990 STF 3A provides data for states and their subareas in hierarchical sequence down to the block group level. 1990 STF 3B provides ZIP Code data for the 5-digit ZIP Codes within each state including county portions of the ZIP Codes. 1990 STF 3C provides summaries for the entire United States in hierarchical sequence down to the place with 10,000 or more persons. 1990 STF 3D provides data by state for the Congressional Districts of the 103rd.
1990 Summary Tape File 4 (STF 4) for WA
Summary Tape File 4 (STF 4) contains sample data for more detailed race and Hispanic/Latino categories, and American Indian and Alaska Native tribes. There are both A and B records. A records have 123 population (PA) and 88 housing (HA) tables. B records present more detailed data in 178 population (PB) and 86 housing (HB) tables. STF 4 is released in three files-4A, 4B, and 4C. The record layout is identical for all three files but the geographic coverage differs.
1990 STF 4A provides data for each state in hierarchical sequence down to census tract/block numbering areas. The A record only includes one file for total pop; the B records include 10 files for total pop and the 5 basic race groups/non-Hispanic (White, Black, American Indian+, Asian and PI, Other) and Hispanic. 1990 STF 4B provides data for each state in hierarchical sequence down to county subdivisions with 1,000 or more persons, and places with 1,000 or more persons. The A record only includes one file for total pop; the B records include one file for more detailed total pop, and up to 48 separate race and Hispanic-origin files.
