- Recognition for teaching
Project director Professor Mary Lidstrom has been awarded the 2006 ASM Graduate Microbiology Teaching Award, which recognizes her distinguished teaching of microbiology and mentoring of students at the graduate and post-graduate level.
- Efforts rewarded
Professor Mary Lidstrom was recently elected as an American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) Fellow. Election as a Fellow of AAAS is an honor bestowed upon members by their peers. Fellows are recognized for meritorious efforts to advance science or its applications.
- Biology for Engineers CD selected as 2005 Premier Award by NEEDS
The nationwide prestigious premier award was given to the biological information handling multimedia CD team for innovative design and excellent knowledge representation.
- STC award
Multimedia CD courseware won STC Technical Publication Merit award 2004.

We demonstrated a poster about the project at this event to the community of Technical Communication students, faculty and members of the STC Puget Sound Chapter.
