The Biology for Engineers project has obtained several achievements and awards. The project won awards in both the field of engineering education and technical communication. The project has also been widely presented across the United States.

Achievements

• The Biological Information Handling: Essentials for Engineers CD, an important part of the Biology for Engineers project, was selected as the Premier Award for Excellence in Engineering Education Courseware by NEEDS (National Engineering Education Delivery System) in 2005.
  
  
• Biological Information Handling" CD won Society for Technical Communication (STC) Puget Sound Chapter Technical Publication Competition Merit Award 2004.
