Dinner and Discussion: How to Talk About Relational Poverty at Thanksgiving

May 9, 2015  • Posted in Undergraduate Series  •  0 Comments

Monday, May 18th, 6:00 PM, Wallingford

You’ve thought about power and privilege in your classrooms and with your friends. But how do you talk about it with your family? How can we ask more neutral questions to invite dialogue? Graduate students Elyse Gordon and Amy Piedalue will co-facilitate an informal discussion over a light dinner and refreshments at the home of Amy Piedalue (in Wallingford. Address will be shared with students once they’ve RSVPed).

We expect to have 8-10 students. Please come ready to share from your own experience, to listen to the stories of others, and to brainstorm collectively about how to engage with people across different perspectives.
