Photomedia Professor Paul Berger has been awarded a Donald E. Petersen Professorship in the Arts, which is in effect from April 2010 through March 2013. The Petersen Professorship recognizes a faculty member’s contribution to the arts. The appointment rotates among the UW Arts units. Donald E. Petersen is a past Chairman of the Board and CEO for Ford Motor Company; he and his wife reside part-time in Seattle.

Professor of Photography Paul Berger has been named Honored Educator 2009  by the Society for Photographic Education Northwest Region. Berger was co-founder of the Photography Program at the SoA in 1978.
