Art History Professor Robin Wright, Professor Emeritus Bill Holm, and Katie Bunn-Marcuse (MA 1998, PhD 2007), were all quoted in a New York Times article published 06 February 2011. The article, titled “Honoring Art, Honoring Artists,” discusses the recent re-installation of American Indian art at the Denver Art Museum and the growing interest in researching individual artists in a field where many of the creators have been previously treated as simply anonymous. Holm, Wright, and, more recently, Bunn-Marcuse have all played a role in identifying First Nations artists from the Northwest Coast region.
