Zirpel and Alums Part of “Show and Tell”

by jcmills on March 1st, 2011

Wednesday evening, 02 March 2011, from 5-8pm is the opening of Show and Tell: Objectivity in the Main Gallery at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle. Faculty and staff at Cornish were invited to choose artworks for inclusion in the show. Several School of Art alumni are part of the faculty and staff there: Cable Griffith (MFA 2002), Rob Lutz (BA 1994), Kathleen Rabel (BA 1970, MFA 1985), Kristen Ramirez (MFA 2004), and Ruth Tomlinson (MFA 1990). The works they chose include examples by 3D4M Assistant Professor Mark Zirpel and several additional alumni: Eroyn Franklin (BFA 2006), Victoria Haven (BFA 1989), Jim Rittimann (MFA 1985), Whiting Tennis (BFA 1984), and William Turner (MFA 1973). One unusual part of the opening is that each selector will have 3-5 minutes to talk about the artwork they chose. The show will continue through 30 March 2011.
