Clausen Lectures in Italy + CBD

by jcmills on February 23rd, 2012

During Autumn Quarter 2011, Art History Professor Meredith Clausen traveled to Italy to present two lectures. One presentation took place at the Universita Politecnica della Marche in Ancona, and it was titled “Pietro Belluschi: Classical Values and a Sense of Place.” This was part of a tribute to Belluschi and the event was held in a building that Belluschi designed. The other lecture was titled “Big Buildings, Loved or Loathed: The Critical Response,” and it was at Politecnico di Torino. More recently, several of Clausen’s images were requested by Phaidon for a new edition of one of their architectural atlases. They had found the images through the Cities and Buildings Database.
