Four SoA faculty have received Royalty Research Fund Awards in the last seven months to support special projects:

Stuart Lingo (Associate Professor, Art History) for “Bronzino’s Bodies: The Fate of Michelangelesque Art in an Age of Reform”

Cynthea Bogel (Associate Professor, Art History) for “The Floating World Across the Disciplines: Japanese Ukiyo-e Print Culture”

Philip Govedare (Professor, Art) for “Prehistoric and Post-Apocalyptic Landscape”

Haicheng Wang (Assistant Professor, Art History) for “Archaeology of Royal Spectacles in Early China”

All were designated as RRF Scholars, which includes a quarter of release time from teaching in order to pursue their research. The award includes funds for the SoA to hire replacement instructors.
