- International applicants (except those expecting an F1 or J1 visa) can now request Application Fee Waivers.
- International English Language Testing System (IELTS) has been removed.
- We are phasing out usage of IELTS. IELTS results with a test session date after November 1, 2016 will not be accepted. Any IELTS tests already received by the University will still be available in MyGrad.

- Soft deadline message changed
- Font changed to black (instead of red)
- Language softened
- UW NetID can now be established within 1 to 2 business days of application submission. This used to only be available after accepting the offer of admission.
Admissions (Unit) Profile
- Application submitted confirmation email now sent from the department email, as entered in the Unit Profile (not sent from uwgrad@uw.edu)
- Application Status Page will remain available after 10th day of quarter (it used to revert to submit confirmation page)
- This will allow applicants/students to view the transcripts they need to submit once the quarter has started (i.e. after 10th day)
