Graduation Reminders

To graduate Autumn Quarter 2016, students must complete all degree requirements on or before the last day of the quarter, Friday, December 16. The deadline to submit candidacy and degree recommendations in MyGrad is Wednesday, December 21.

Please ensure the following steps have been completed before you submit candidacy and degree recommendations in MyGrad:

• Verify the master’s request indicates the correct degree code
• Verify that all department contingencies have been cleared
• Verify that any necessary petitions have been submitted and approved by GEMS (e.g., “count GNM credits” or “extend time limit”)
• Run a “degree audit” (from the student detail page)
• Verify that all required courses have grades appearing on the transcript
• Verify that grades have posted to the transcript for the final quarter of enrollment (grades are due by 5:00 p.m., December 20^th for Autumn 2016.)
• Print the warrant before approving a Master’s Degree Request (see MGP help files)

If you are not able to meet the December 21 deadline (e.g., due to unposted grades), please contact GEMS.
