2019-2020: Update to Master’s Request Deadlines

GEMS and CAIR have just released a new update to the Master’s degree request, which sets the deadline to file a Master’s request as the last day of the academic quarter (the last day of finals week).

Previously, the Master’s request deadline was set as the last day of instruction, which created confusion for some students. Our intention in moving this deadline out a week is to give eligible students as much time as possible to request their Master’s degree.

The Master’s request deadline is now the same as the deadline for submitting a thesis or dissertation and the reading committee approval forms. Please let your graduating students know to refer to our updated Dates & Deadlines page.
