3:00 pm: Meridian Park, Good Shepherd Center & Vicinity Tour – Cost: $10, register by phone or email (limited to 15 participants). A local mecca of plant diversity, with many rare species planted by Gil Schieber & Seattle Tilth gardeners. This tour will include both wild (weedy) & planted species of trees, shrubs, vines, perennials & annuals. The Tilth garden & adjacent P-Patch will be full of luxurious produce to admire. See plants chosen to perform well in the Pacific NW. Learn about effective garden practices, soil health, composting, pollinators, fruit tree pruning, native plants, weed identification & more.
