Free. The Riverview Horticultural Centre Society invites you to a tree tour of a significant & beautiful part of the Lower Mainland, the Riverview Lands Arboretum. 3:00 pm: Meridian Park, Good Shepherd Center & Vicinity Tour

Cost: $10, register by phone or email (limited to 15 participants). A local mecca of plant diversity, with many rare species planted by Gil Schieber & Seattle Tilth gardeners. This tour will include both wild (weedy) & planted species of trees, shrubs, vines, perennials & annuals. The Tilth garden & adjacent P-Patch will be full of luxurious produce to admire. 5:00 pm: Miyawaki Urban Forest Summer Celebration

Celebrate the first summer of the Miyawaki urban forest, densely planted last December with 1200 plants. Visit the forest to check out the 43 native species, labelled with bilingual English-Lushootseed signs & listen to drumming from different cultures.
