10:00 am: Master Gardener Foundation of Thurston County Plant Sale

There is a large selection of quality plants at reasonable prices. Trees, shrubs, perennials, grasses, native plants, tools, handicraft sale, & tool sharpening. Master gardeners will help you find the right plant for the right place in your garden. Payment methods include credit, checks or cash. Sale held at Dirt Works Garden in Yauger Park. Park at the far end of the lot. Walk down the the gravel path to the left of the Dirt Works Demonstration Garden. The nursery is past the demonstration garden at the end of the path. Signs will be posted.

10:00 am: Skagit County Discovery Garden Open House, Garden Tour, & Plant Sale

Skagit Valley is home to 3 demonstration gardens on 8 acres, operated by volunteers as a learning resource for the public. See plants chosen to perform well in the Pacific NW. Learn about effective garden practices, soil health, composting, pollinators, fruit tree pruning, native plants, weed identification & more. 5:00 pm: Miyawaki Urban Forest Summer Celebration

Celebrate the first summer of the Miyawaki urban forest, densely planted last December with 1200 plants. Visit the forest to check out the 43 native species, labelled with bilingual English-Lushootseed signs & listen to drumming from different cultures. Bring a picnic & blanket, or purchase food at the event. There will also be activities for all ages, tours of the Miyawaki Urban Forest & informational booths.
