5:00 pm: Miyawaki Urban Forest Summer Celebration – Celebrate the first summer of the Miyawaki urban forest, densely planted last December with 1200 plants. Visit the forest to check out the 43 native species, labelled with bilingual English-Lushootseed signs & listen to drumming from different cultures. Bring a picnic & blanket, or purchase food at the event. There will also be activities for all ages, tours of the Miyawaki Urban Forest & informational booths.
