Center for Intelligent Materials and Systems (CIMS) was established in 2000 by a group of faculty in the College of Engineering and the Department of Botany with an aim of accelerating the research and educational program in the area of design of actuator materials, actuators and bio-inspired design of intelligent materials and systems.
