Leonard Nelson, PhD

Dr. Nelson received his undergraduate and PhD degrees in Chemistry from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and the University of California, Berkeley. His graduate research specialized with infrared spectroscopic studies of rare gas halogen molecules condensed at cryogenic temperatures. Leonard worked in advanced laser technology for 10 years and cockpit display systems about 25 years. After retirement, he joined the HPL group to mentor and collaborate with students in projects related to chemistry and spectroscopy.
