Forum Guidelines and Agreement

The TRIO Training Forum Community is dedicated to supporting the professional development and collaborative learning of TRIO staff.  Each participant’s thoughtful, constructive, and respectful engagement is essential to support this activity. 

Your use of the Forums indicates your acceptance and agreement to abide by these Guidelines.

UW TRIO Training Forums are safe professional environments.

The forums:

  • Require you to login
  • Are for TRIO staff only (students are not allowed in the TRIO Training Staff forums)

The posts:

  • Are reviewed before being posted

Forum Rules/Guidelines (March 2011)

General Rule

  • Remain respectful of other participants, moderators, and administrators
    (i.e., no harassing, insulting, or flaming forum participants or staff)

Posting Rules

  • No spam, phishing, or solicitations/advertisements allowed
  • No publishing of private and/or personal information about other participants allowed
  • No racist, sexist, or hateful posts are allowed
  • No cross-posting or post pumping is allowed (i.e., posting the same question in more than one forum or posting just to increase a post count)
  • Posts should always be made in the correct forum
  • Posts should always stay on topic
  • You have the right to disagree with other posts, but be mindful of your tone; think twice before sending a message, especially if there is a heated or serious discussion in process
