Graduate Student Program Lead

MPFS Program Leads are current 𝗨𝗪 𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗗𝗨𝗔𝗧𝗘 𝗦𝗧𝗨𝗗𝗘𝗡𝗧𝗦 who meet our qualifications and are willing to help support the implementation if this Fall Quarter program. MPFS Program Leads will keep in contact with full-time staff to provide critical program updates throughout the quarter, help organize workshops and trainings for MPFS peer mentors, plan virtual social gatherings for all MPFS program participants, and help manage mentor-protege pairs via consistent communication and weekly mentor-protege check-ins.

𝗦𝘁𝗶𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗢𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆
MPFS Program Leads will receive a $400 stipend for their help. Payment will be made at the end of the quarter.

𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗣𝗙𝗦 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗤𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀:
-Current graduate student
-Strong interpersonal, communication and listening skills
-Ability to empathize and provide academic and personal support to student peer-mentors in MPFS program
-Familiar or willing to familiarize with UW resources and OMA&D support services to help MPFS peer mentors and their proteges navigate the Fall Quarter successfully
-Desire and interest in helping support the mentoring relationship of MPFS Mentor-Protege’s to be confident and successful huskies!
-Desire and interest in supporting the ongoing development of student peer-mentors in MPFS program
