DigiMedia is a multimedia activity for ALL TRIO students in which students create and post their own individual or team video projects.

Qualities and Requirements

Entry uses Google Sites with an embedded video that has been uploaded to Google Docs
Be three minutes or less including credits
Must be appropriate for listening or viewing by students age 12 and above (including the subject, content, and language)
NEW: for students under 18, a parental permission form must be kept by the program which states that a students' last name can be listed on the entry and the submission for IF last names are used in the entry
Includes evidence of preplanning which follows the DigiMedia Pre-planning/Storyboard Rubric element
Maintains documentation of permission given by all persons who are identifiable in any original video

Intellectual Honesty

All submitted material to DigiMedia must be original (images from a family album are OK), OR come from a non-copyright resource such as Creative Commons
Material thatcomes from a non-copyright resource must be credited within the video credits
DigiMedia entries must provide credits at the end of the video that includes a listing of: 1) all participants, 2) all original music, artwork, etc., and 3) any permission for non-original work from a non-copyright resource cited in the free use resource required format. Note: credits must remain within the required time limit of 3 minutes
NOTE: Fair Use Rules cannot be used for a DigiMedia entry

Registration

Head Coach Registers
If you have registered last year, you don't need to to this again.

Head Coach gets Program Code
Head coach registers Program and lists other possible coaches and receives a 2012 TRIO Quest Program Code.

Student Registers
Optional if the coach is submitting student entries. If student registered before January 30, 2012 he/she will need to register again.

Request

Entry Accounts requests
Using a valid TRIO Quest program code, coaches may request multiple accounts while registered students can only request one account for each activity. It may take up to 3 business days to fulfill requests.

Create

Create & work on DigiMedia Entry
Once an entry account request has been granted, students will be able to login and start creating their entries.

Submit

Submit a DigiMedia Entry
Login and complete a submission form for each entry in all activities by the deadline. Either the coach or the students can submit entries.
