I grew up in Lexington, Kentucky where I received a B.S. in Chemistry from the University of Kentucky. I am currently working with Dr. Sarah Keller in the Chemistry Department where I am investigating how physical parameters like temperature and tension affect artificial membranes, and how surfactants used in biotechnological tools to extract nano-scale patches of membranes may perturb membrane organization and stability. Outside of the lab, I enjoy watching movies, spending time with friends, and dancing!
