I grew up in Anaheim, CA and earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology at California State University, Monterey Bay.
Past research: Assessing pathogen antagonism activity of soilborne actinomycetes against a local lettuce pathogen in the Salinas Valley (manuscript currently being written).
Research interests and goals: microbial interactions with their environment, plant-associated microbes for plant health and establishment. In the coming quarters, I will be working on genome assembly and the characterization of microbes associated with conferring heat tolerance in plants.
