Past work & Research  ASU: Methanotrophs in oman and the ‘photosynthetic fringe’ in Yellowstone,  NASA: Mouse-gut microbiome responses to spaceflight and microgravity.   Worked as a medical lab tech for Exact Sciences, DNA extraction from tumors.

Interested in biogeochemistry: how microbial communities and geochemistry interact with each other and larger cycles. Ocean worlds: biosignatures and what microbes might be there.  Extremophiles: what mechanisms allow them to survive & thrive

Hobbies: cello, guitar, art, reading, camping, hiking.
