Rotation Logistics

Orientation
You will typically arrive in Billings the weekend before your first day of the clerkship. Plan to arrive by Sunday. The Billings Track office will inform you about your orientation on the first day prior to your arrival. On your first day of clerkship, you will meet your preceptor, who will then provide you with your written schedule for the following six-weeks and a tour of their clinic. We welcome you to Billings, and hope that your experience here will prompt a return to Montana in the future.

Housing and Meals
Two houses are available for WWAMI students (MS3 clerkship students receive priority for housing). One is a 6 bedroom house, while the other is a 5-bedroom house. Both are furnished and are close to both hospitals. Linens and dishes are provided, but you will need to provide personal items. There is television, cable, and wireless internet as well as a desktop with internet. There is a refrigerator, washer and dryer in both houses, but you need to have your own detergent. Meals are not provided, but multiple grocery stores are near. Absolutely NO pets allowed.

Transportation
A personal automobile is required, as transportation is not provided. You will be within walking distance of the hospitals, but not the out-patient clinic. A bike is highly recommended, but not provided at this time.

Educational Conferences
Weekly Grand Rounds are offered at Billings Clinic and St. Vincent’s Healthcare. Weekly didactics are offered at RiverStone Health. Please reach out to the Billings Track Coordinator for more information.
