Site Onboarding Tasks

Check your UW email 4-6 weeks before your scheduled rotation for an email titled “Welcome to CommonSpirit” from CommonSpirit People Support Services.  Complete the link that is given in the email. If you have not received anything please email Virginia Mason Fransican Health GME NSP at vmfh-gme-nsp@commonspirit.org.

PLEASE NOTE: As part of the onboarding process, UW SOM Compliance Officer will receive a link asking for Fit for Duty information. Please email somcompl@uw.edu if you have any questions.

TB Test Requirement 

Students are required to complete the Fit for Duty Tuberculosis (TB) Two-step Mantoux TB skin test or documentation of positive test and chest X-Ray results with negative disease process OR Student can receive the QuantiFERON Gold one step blood test as an alternative. Must be current within 30 days of starting and be valid through their time at Virginia Mason. If a student has received a positive result in the past, then we will need the date of the positive PPD, date of clear chest X-Ray and the date of their last annual TB Symptom Survey.
