In advance of the upcoming transit of Venus, the UW Astrobiology Program and Astronomy Department will host two, back-to-back lectures focusing on the planet Venus and its significance for our understanding of our solar system and beyond.
The lectures, “Transits of Venus and the Quest for the Scale of the Universe” (Prof. Woody Sullivan) and “The Venus Environment: Understanding the Earth’s Twisted Sister” (Prof. Victoria Meadows) will begin at 7pm on the University of Washington Campus (Kane Hall, Room 120).
