UWAB graduate students Michael Diamond and Andrew Lincowski have been awarded NASA Earth and Space Science Fellowships (NESSF).
Michael Diamond’s advisor is Steven Wood and the proposal was titled Transport Pathways for Biomass Burning Aerosol into the Namibian Stratocumulus Deck, in the Earth Sciences division. NASA received a total of 385 applications in Earth Science Research and selected 69 for award. This award will build on Michael’s studies in cloud microphysics.
Andrew Lincowski’s advisor is Victoria Meadows and the proposal was titled The Nature and Characterization of M Dwarf Terrestrial Planets, in the Planetary Science division.NASA received a total of 197 applications for the Planetary Science Research Program and selected 33 for award. This award will expand on VPL’s current research in climate-photochemical modeling of terrestrial planets that continue to be discovered around M dwarfs.
