Lucas completed his undergrad at Vassar College majoring in Physics. After graduating he spent one year working at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab on remote sensing of wildfires.
Lucas’ current research focuses on Enceladus, the geochemical processes of its icy plumes, and the habitability of its subsurface ocean (with Prof. David Catling). He is also interested in planetary surfaces in general and effective science communication (especially w/ visual media).
He enjoys tennis and squash and other things with racquets/paddles, he is a washed-up classical guitarist and also enjoys drawing, playing games and making pixelart.
