New Employee Orientation (NEO)

NEO Schedule 

The UW Medicine Day One is a hybrid program combining both in-person activities and facilitated webinar training content. The webinar orientation runs from 11:30 AM to 5:00 PM and includes a 30-minute union orientation for Contract Classified new employees. Based on the demands of the day’s schedule, new employees should be compensated for a full 8-hour workday.

Upcoming Classes

Extraordinary Leader 

The Extraordinary Leader Workshop utilizes proven research and a 360-degree feedback assessment to promote the learning and growth of leaders. This program is designed for mid- and senior-level leaders who have served in their role for at least nine months. The program consists of two sessions. After the introductory session, leaders invite those they work with to provide feedback about how they demonstrate a set of specific leadership competencies. The second session focuses on helping the leader analyze their feedback report and use the results to create a plan for their own development.

The Extraordinary Leadership Workshop is a two-part class and attendance is required at both sessions.

Leadership Foundations

Leadership Foundations is a four-month program that equips first-level leaders with essential knowledge and skills needed to be successful. The program consists of a series of four one-day workshops that are completed sequentially as part of a cohort. Participants complete pre-work activities before each workshop and practice and apply new learning and skills between workshops.  Attendance is required at all sessions

All workshops are held on Wednesdays from 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM each day
