Leadership Labs

Leadership Labs are boosters for your leadership practice that cover timely, actionable topics relevant to leading at UW Medicine. In each 90-minute workshop, leaders are introduced to a framework or strategy that can be used to enhance their leadership abilities and address common leadership challenges.

These sessions provide an interactive setting where leaders connect with other leaders, while gaining tools and experimenting with techniques relevant to their work. The labs include group discussions and breakouts, so participants should join from a device with both a microphone and camera.

Benefits

Upcoming Leadership Labs Zoom Sessions

Why They Stay: Unlocking Motivation Through Meaningful Conversations

In this interactive 90-minute workshop, managers will learn how to conduct stay interviews – intentional, one-on-one conversations that help uncover what motivates employees to stay and what might cause them to leave. Stay interviews are a powerful, practical way for leaders to show genuine care for their team members’ satisfaction, build trust, and take meaningful action. Participants will walk away with tools to strengthen relationships, increase engagement, and support retention – aligning directly with one of our key Workforce Survey drivers, “The person I report to cares about my job satisfaction.”

  • Each topic is a standalone zoom session that is being offered twice and please choose just one of the two dates that meets your schedule.
