CSSA and TOSA invites you to audition for The Voice of UW!

Starting on January 7th, come to CSSA and TOSA booths on Red Square to sign up. There are limited spot available, so first come first serve.

Date: February 1st , 2020 & February 2nd, 2020
Location: ECT (Ethnic Cultural Theatre)
Time: There will be four periods.
February 1st, 2020
Period One: 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Period Two: 4:30 PM - 7:00 PM

February 2nd, 2020
Period Three: 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Period Four: 4:30 PM - 7:00 PM
★Way to purchase the tickets:
You can purchase tickets from CSSA and TOSA Booths on the Red Square starting from 10:30 am, January 20th, 2020. (Limited tickets! Make sure to come purchase your tickets before they are sold out!)

★How to sign up:
Please come to CSSA and TOSA Booths to sign up starting from 10:30 am, January 13th. (Limited space! Make sure to come sign up before all the contestant seats are taken!)
Price:$10 (Comes with one audition tickets)

*Note: The first audition is open to the public and contestants will have two free tickets for your family and friends. However, other audiences would need to purchase from CSSA and TOSA Booths.
All the audiences must bring their student ID (Husky Cards) and The Voice tickets in order to enter.

Let’s Talk is a program that connects UW students with support from experienced counselors from the Counseling Center and Hall Health without an appointment.

Counselors hold drop-in hours at various sites on campus and can help provide insight, solutions and information about other resources. Let’s Talk drop-in visits are free, confidential and there is no appointment necessary.

Let’s Talk offers informal consultation – it is not a substitute for regular therapy, counseling or psychiatric care.

Let’s Talk is supported by UW Parent & Family Programs and the Services & Activities Fee.

Womxn of Color Celebration @ wǝɫǝbʔaltxʷ – Intellectual House

In collaboration with the Q Center, UW Housing & Food Services, the UW Women’s Center and the ASUW Womxn’s Action Commission, the Samuel E. Kelly Ethnic Cultural Center proudly presents the 17th Annual Womxn of Color Celebration (formerly Womxn of Color Reception). Join us for a feel-good luncheon where we’ll celebrate ourselves, be in community and envision new futures together. This year’s program features the ever-amazing Dr. Joy Williamson – Lott as our keynote speaker, q&a, and a catered lunch. We hope to see you there!

Keynote bio:
Joy Williamson-Lott assumed the role of Dean of the Graduate School in July 2019. She is also a professor and previously an associate dean in the College of Education, an accomplished scholar and researcher in the field of American higher education, and a committed advocate for equity and diversity in higher education. She is the author of several books examining black higher educational history and the black freedom struggle, including her most recent book, “Jim Crow Campus: Higher Education and the Struggle for a New Southern Social Order.” Her teaching focuses on education as a moral endeavor, the shifting definition of “proper education” and “liberation” for different social groups, and the educational histories of people of color.”
