Affiliating your RSO

ECC RSO Re/Affiliation Process for 2026-2027 academic year

The ECC RSO Re/Affiliation Process for the 2026-2027 academic year will officially begin on Tuesday, September 8, 2026 and end on Friday, November 6, 2026. Here is the timeline of events:

  • Tuesday, September 8th – ECC RSO Affiliation Interest Form goes live at 9:00 AM
  • Monday, September 28th – ECC Staff will start reviewing and processing affiliation requests
  • Monday, November 2nd – ECC RSO Affiliation Interest Form will close at 9:00 AM. No submissions or requests will be accepted past this date/time
  • Friday, November 6th – ECC RSO Affiliation Process concludes

**Please note that the ECC RSO affiliation process only occurs during the fall quarter. If you do not complete the process during the timeline, you must wait until the next academic year.

  • Leadership development and training programs to enhance the skills of your officers and members
  • Advising from the ECC Staff on program and event planning, facilitation, budgeting, and risk management
  • Usage of ECC facility for meetings and program/event space at a discounted rate (including, but does not guarantee, access to the kitchen and the patio area)
    • **Based on space availability
  • Free use of the Leadership Lab, which includes supplies such as butcher paper, colored pencils, markers, paint and paint supplies
  • Free 2-hour weekly meeting space for your RSO
  • Eligibility to request funding (up to $1,000) for cultural or educational programs/events that enrich the experience of students on campus

  1. Re/Register your RSO with the Student Activities Office. Any questions or inquiries regarding this, you can visit their RSO Registration or email saoreg@uw.edu
  2. While in the process of being affiliated with SAO, RSOs may complete the ECC affiliation process at the same time. Please complete the ECC RSO Affiliation Interest form to get started. Your RSO will receive a confirmation email of your submission within 3-5 business days.
  3. Fill out this Affiliation Form! (opens on September 8 @ 9am)
  4. Plan ahead! The Kelly ECC will be hosting in-person training & orientation sessions for all interested newly and previously affiliated RSOs
    • Your RSO must have at least one representative attend ONE of the available training & orientation sessions (we highly encourage more than one person from your RSO to attend to understand all of the resources ECC has to offer!)
      • The available T&O dates/times/locations are:
        • Monday, October 5th: 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM in the ECC Theatre (across the street from ECC, red building, wooden double doors)
        • Monday, October 12th: 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM in the ECC Theatre
        • Monday, October 19th: 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM in the ECC Theatre
        • Monday, October 26th: 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM in the ECC Theatre
        • Monday, November 2nd: 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM in the ECC Theatre
  5. Once completed the above steps, your RSO will receive a confirmation email from eccadvs@uw.edu of your ECC RSO affiliation status

  • Where do I start?
    • Visit the SAO website and complete their requirements first. Once you complete as much as you can for affiliation with SAO, you may then start the ECC RSO affiliation process
  • Does filling out the interest form guarantee affiliation status with the ECC?
    • No. Filling and submitting an interest form does NOT guarantee your RSO to be affiliated with the Kelly ECC. Follow the steps above to complete your affiliation process. A confirmation email is sent to all RSOs who complete the affiliation process.
  • When does affiliation close? 
    • The ECC RSO Affiliation Process for 2026-2027 officially concludes on Friday, November 6th
  • When will I hear back about my RSO’s affiliation status? 
    • Starting on Monday, September 28th, RSOs will receive communications regarding the status of the affiliation process once an interest form has been submitted.
  • Can I affiliate winter quarter or spring quarter? 
    • No, we only accept affiliation requests during autumn registration season. 
  • When does my Kelly ECC Affiliation end or expire? 
    • At the end of the following years fall registration/affiliation. If we have not received your affiliation form and approved RSO registration from SAO we unfortunately remove affiliation benefits. 
  • Can my ECC affiliation status change during the academic year?
    • Yes. ECC Affiliation status can change due to various factors, including (but not limited to) a change in affiliation status with SAO and if RSOs are found violating ECC reservation policies.
