Teach for China will host an annual festival to celebrate the Lunar New Year to allow UW students to experience and immerse in the Lunar New Year atmosphere by providing traditional food and games.Join TFC to participate in cultural activities include lanterns making, Chinese riddles, calligraphy writing, and eating tangyuan (rice dumpling).

All the above activities are essential parts of the festival. For example, tangyuan has a similar pronunciation with “tuanyuan”, which means reunion in Chinese. So everyone eats them to symbolize union, harmony, and happiness for the family. TFC will offer UNLIMITED FREE tangyuan and milk tea, and also send out special gift packs for the game winners! You will be able to learn more about Chinese culture as well!
