UWAB student Dominic Sivitilli (Psychology) recorded a presentation for TEDxSeattle that aired late last month, and you can watch the recording here!
Dominic works with Prof. David Gire in the Comparative Neuroscience Lab in the UW Psychology Department, and his research focuses on how the octopus’ nervous system and sensory-motor control within its arms function. Because the octopus’ is so much different than humans (and yet also so intelligent) understanding the octopus may help astrobiologists better understand alternate evolutionary pathways for intelligent life in the universe!
