Earlier this month, UW Astrobiologists Kaitlin Ras Earlier this month, UW Astrobiologists Kaitlin Rasmussen and Evan Davis pulled up in style to the Exoplanets IV Conference in Las Vegas! There, they got to engage with the community about exciting new science relevant to exoplanets and hear the keynote address given by our very own Victoria Meadows! #Exo4 #UWAB💜
Last week, UW astrobiologists An Li and Trent Thom Last week, UW astrobiologists An Li and Trent Thomas went to the 53rd Lunar and Planetary Science Conference outside of Houston, Texas! Conferences like this are invaluable for astrobiology, as scientists from around the world gather to share cutting-edge science and discuss the future of the field. Thanks to @lpiusra for a great time! #LPSC2022 #UWAB💜

(PS: Hi! I’m Trent, the person behind this account. I’m excited to continue sharing all of the awesome science going on at the UW Astrobiology program!)
This week, UW Astrobiology is putting on a week-lo This week, UW Astrobiology is putting on a week-long graduate student workshop to detect life elsewhere in the solar system! Students are tasked with designing a mission to a brand new moon, Kwiya, that has been “discovered” orbiting Jupiter. Students are touring labs, meeting with experts, and designing experiments to determine if life exists on this distant moon. Check back in later to see what they find! If you were designing a mission to Kwiya, what would you look for? #UWAB 💜
