Studying Sea Ice Algae in Antarctica: Two Graduate Students Take Fieldwork to the Next Level

UWAB students Hannah Dawson and Susan Rundell (Oceanography), alongside their advisor, Prof. Jodi Young, have recently been featured in a news article by the UW College of the Environment!

Hannah and Susan have spent the last two fall quarters at Palmer Station on the Western Antarctic Peninsula studying the impact of temperature and salinity on sea-ice algae and phytoplankton.
