The following prose and photographs serve as a mediation of my time in Amsterdam. It is my hope that they convey changes in perspective and clarity of thought amid disruption. My reflections here are loosely inspired by Italo Calvino’s Invisible Cities, which presents an illustration of how patterns of humanness create and shape what we know to be cities.
